SUNDAY SCHOOLS THAT TEACH CHILDREN ANARCHY (New York Times, 1910)

Image
Note, transcribed by user  cumming insurrection     A Thousand Young Persons Are Being Trained in New York to Be Successors of Emma Goldman and Alexander Berkman. So quietly has the anarchistic propaganda been carried on in New York that it will, without doubt, send a chill of arctic iciness down the spines of the many people who profess to stand in holy horror of the theory to learn through this article that to-day anarchistic Sunday schools are in session here just as are Sunday schools for bringing up the young to follow Methodism, Baptism, or any other form of faith or creed. There are easily a thousand children in these schools, children who will, beyond peradventure, grow up to be Alexander Berkmanns and Emma Goldmans, with perhaps a Ferrer or a Tolstoy appearing. They range in age from 6 years to 16. During the week they go to the public schools and sing their own part in the grand chorus of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” recite the lessons offered by the syste...

When Propaganda Minister Paul Joseph Goebbels yesterday blasted Germany's cafe society, he called it "society rabble and intellectual snobs," for laughing at comedians who make Nazi leaders the butts of their jokes.  Goebbels turned his anger upon the "society rabble" after announcing that five German actors had been banned from the stage for publicly ridiculing Nazi party and state functionaries.  He denied that there was any lack of humor in Nazi Germany, but said that it must be kept "good-natured, decent and clean."  "There is plenty of humor in Germany, more than enough," he said in a three and one-half column editorial in the Nazi party's newspaper Voelkischer Beobachter . "But we do not permit ourselves to be ridiculed."  Th...

Anarchist Manifesto from 1892

Image
From The Agitator ( L'Agitateur ) an Anarchist newspaper published in Marseille on the 13th of March 1892. Merci beaucoup to Constance Bantman for sharing this fragment. Anarchist Manifesto  AN-ARCHY does not mean "Chaos", the word "Anarchy" comes from the two Greek words "An" the meaning of which is "Absence of" an " Archy " which means AUTHORITY. Well, contrary to the definition that all our adversaries like to use, ANARCHY us a synonym for - ABSENCE OF AUTHORITY, and not " Chaos, upheaval, disorder ". My French is very limited and tre rus...
